Assaults like this would be much less likely to occur with Concealed Carry.

I'm going to love watching Maryland, and especially the Corrupt Montgomery County Cartel, bend the knee when the Supreme Court rules that "May Issue" for Concealed Carry is unconstitutional, and that "Shall Issue" is what's required under the law.

Yes, it would be so awesome if more people were walking around with guns. People pulling guns in each other in Bethesda parking garages sounds great and will obviously make us all safer.

"Assaults like this would be much less likely to occur with Concealed Carry."

Right, instead of a fistfight it would have been a shootout. Assaults would go down because they'd be classified as homicides, instead. This guy is a genius. Put him in charge of public safety ASAP.

  4. I thought the corrupt NRA was going into bankruptcy. How are they funding suits to try to make metropolitan areas more dangerous?

@10:41 AM: You don't want to bother yourself by distinguishing between legal and illegal guns. You probably don't bother differentiating between legal and illegal immigrants either for that matter. You're just not interested and you like your safe space of cognitive dissonance and equivocation. It's clear you don't know the first thing about what Concealed Carry is and how it works. I'm actually glad you don't carry a gun. You'd be a danger to yourself and others with that kind of attitude, your lack of knowledge and your unwillingness to learn. I carry a gun legally, and I've gone through through all the background checks and requirements for 3 States. People like me who carry legally aren't the problem, but your insular tribal politics won't let you admit that. Thank goodness I don't have to depend on people like you for my safety.

Concealed Carry is just that: Concealed. You don't know that I'm carrying and I don't advertise that I am to anyone. That's the whole point. I'm just interested in going about my day, and I'm no threat to anyone with a gun securely in a holster that you don't know about. You never draw on an already drawn gun, but you wouldn't know the first thing about that either.

@10:46 AM: Where's your vitriol for the criminal who robbed a gas station in Bethesda last week with a handgun? You're going to tell me that was a legal gun? You're going to tell me that the criminal went through the Maryland Wear and Carry Process with the background check? You're going to tell me that the gun was most assuredly a Maryland-Compliant Gun with a 10 Round Magazine? As a legal gun owner, I'm not responsible for that crimes like that, but you can't help yourself to lump me in. Concealed Carry is a deterrent. That's the whole point. I think Open Carry is stupid. Maybe we can at least agree on that.

@1:18 PM: More dangerous? I didn't realize that the legal guns were committing the crimes themselves. Please tell me more about how that works. I think you're going to have to face some uncomfortable facts after you chew on this for a bit.

@10:41 AM/10:46 AM/1:18 PM: Going to break into your safe spaces here: Stop & Frisk by police is an effective gun control policy for catching illegal guns and I fully support Stop & Frisk by police as I carry legally.

Let me know if you support Stop & Frisk by police as well. You probably don't because you're only interested in implementing the kind of gun control measures that don't actually work.

10:41 AM - You said "Yes, it would be so awesome if more people were walking around with guns." How about we fix that sentence:

"Yes, it would be so awesome if more people were walking around with LEGAL guns."
    or
"Yes, it would be so awesome if more people were walking around with ILLEGAL guns."

You can't tell the difference between these two sentences and you don't care to. Legal gun owners aren't the ones committing crimes, but you'll never admit that. You can't allow yourself to.

Now for the second sentence: "People pulling guns in each other in Bethesda parking garages sounds great and will obviously make us all safer." Let's try a few versions of that:

"People pulling LEGAL guns on each other in Bethesda parking garages sounds great and will obviously make us all safer." --> You're assuming this will happen? Wow. You don't know a damn thing.
    or
"People pulling ILLEGAL guns on each other in Bethesda parking garages sounds great and will obviously make us all safer." --> If the guns are ILLEGAL, then your point is completely invalid. These criminals already have ILLEGAL guns when they "pull them". I also support stop and frisk as a gun control measure to catch ILLEGAL guns and prevent crime. Perhaps you don't.
    or
"People pulling ILLEGAL guns on LEGAL guns in Bethesda parking garages sounds great and will obviously make us all safer." --> Keeping in mind that as a LEGAL carrier that you never draw against an already drawn gun, if the opportunity presents itself, a LEGAL gun owner has the ability to defend himself and his family against an ILLEGAL gun owner.

10:46 AM - "Right, instead of a fistfight it would have been a shootout. Assaults would go down because they'd be classified as homicides, instead. This guy is a genius. Put him in charge of public safety ASAP."

Shootout between whom? Between the criminal carrying the gun ILLEGALLY and the law-abiding person carrying the gun LEGALLY?... or do you mean between "The law-abiding person who's carrying LEGALLY and a criminal who's not carrying a gun"? You need to be much more specific here. Just because someone is carrying a gun LEGALLY doesn't mean that it's used in an altercation.

"Legal gun owners aren't the ones committing crimes"

I stopped reading after this. What an unimaginably uneducated claim.

@10:26 AM: Of course you stopped reading. I wouldn't have expected anything different. You completely missed the point of what I said: "LEGAL gun owners aren't the ones committing crimes." That's a true statement: It's not a crime to LEGALLY own or carry a gun. However, you treat LEGAL gun owners the same as criminals who own or carry ILLEGAL guns. That's what you live for. It's your whole identity.

So when this is put to you:

"Yes, it would be so awesome if more people were walking around with LEGAL guns."
    or
"Yes, it would be so awesome if more people were walking around with ILLEGAL guns."

You equivocate in your cognitively dissonant safe space and you see these sentences as exactly the same. You don't want ANY guns around. If only the criminals with ILLEGAL guns would listen to you. If only these criminals with ILLEGAL guns would stop using them in crimes and get rid of them.... but you know these criminals won't. You won't admit they won't, and you don't care. Just as long as you can tell LEGAL gun owners who aren't committing a crime by merely owning and/or carrying guns LEGALLY that it triggers you so much they shouldn't be able to do something which protects them from the criminals with ILLEGAL guns that you are too spineless to actually do something about. That's right. Stop and Frisk is gun control. It stops criminals with ILLEGAL guns and as a LEGAL gun owner and carrier, I don't mind being stopped if I happen to be. If Stop and Frisk saves just one life.... Did I just steal your thunder with that?
