Sign removed at shuttered Starbucks in Bethesda


The Starbucks that closed earlier this week at 7140 Wisconsin Avenue is being dismantled. Among the items being loaded into a truck out front on Thursday was the store's rooftop sign. This Starbucks has moved to 7200 Wisconsin Avenue, where it will reopen today, with a special grand opening event from 3:00 - 5:00 PM this afternoon, September 3, 2021.

    Any idea what's going to happen to the old building?

    11:46: Demolition. A high-rise apartment building has been proposed for the entire block east of The Seasons. It's possible a short-term tenant might be brought in while that project goes through the approval process, however.
