The right lane of Old Georgetown Road has now been closed between Wisconsin and Woodmont Avenues in Bethesda, as I reported would happen earlier this month. It will remain closed until February 2024. While the sidewalk on that side has also been closed, a protected walking route has been set up for pedestrians within the closed traffic lane. Fencing has been erected around the shuttered La Madeleine restaurant, which is being demolished to make way for a high-rise apartment building.
