Synthetic narcotics report brings police to Whitman High School in Bethesda
Montgomery County police were called to Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda yesterday morning to investigate a reported possession of synthetic narcotics. Police were summoned to the school at 9:14 AM Thursday, December 16, 2021, according to crime data. Examples of synthetic narcotics are synthetic cannabinoids, bath salts, and fentanyl.
I can hear it now: "It's the first time our child has done anything like this, Officer."
ReplyDeleteYou want to know who your kid really is? Look at their friends. Look at their friends' parents. I guarantee you there's a circle of people around this person who knew they did this kind of thing, and if the parents didn't know about it, then they are the reason it happened.
The minimum sentence for this kind of thing should be 1000 hours of community service for the First Offense. Second offense, should be 2000 hours. They can pick up trash along Rockville Pike for all I care or rake leaves in the Fall. Anything to serve the greater good of the community. You don't need to take up prison space with this non-violent crime. You structure Justice like this, this kind of stuff will stop.
