Chicken on the Run at 4933 St. Elmo Avenue in downtown Bethesda is closing. The owner of the Peruvian rotisserie chicken restaurant says the landlord did not renew their lease. Chicken on the Run opened in 2002. It's a shame they made it through the pandemic lockdowns, and a fire in 2015, only to have to close now.
They will be missed.

They should relocate to the old Besta Pizza space on Chase Avenue. No one has leased it and with the JP Morgan bank on Wisconsin for the long term it's not a good redevelopment play so should be there for a while.
