Paris in Town bakery & cafe opens in downtown Bethesda (Photos)

Paris in Town
bakery and cafe at 4903 Cordell Avenue in downtown Bethesda is now open. All of the standard French favorites are on the breakfast and lunch menus, along with daily specials like Goat Cheese Red Pepper Quiche. They could use some louder exterior signage to attract more attention, especially given the short lives of the previous restaurants at this spot. Here's a closer look at the interior:

Start the clock on how quickly Patrick Herron will plagiarize this on his blog, without linking back.

    Remember when this was Smashburger?

  3. I loved Smashburger's Haystack Onions. But to move forward, I'm hoping Paris in Town can attract some of La Madeleine's patrons. Funny, we now have two French restaurants catty-cornered from each other.

Wont be long until there's a for rent sign there.

Stopped by on Saturday and had a café au lait and a raisin bun. The coffee was just average but the raisin bun was delectable. Very crispy with well defined layers to the pastry. I might have to do a side-by-side pain au chocolat competition with Tout de Sweet next weekend.

My friends are French and they say Tout de Sweet croissant is better then any they had in Paris so I doubt this place will be better than them.
