Strong-arm robbery in downtown Bethesda
Montgomery County police responded to a report of a strong-arm robbery in downtown Bethesda early yesterday morning. The robbery was reported in what police describe as an "alley" in the 4700 block of Elm Street at 1:50 AM Saturday morning, according to crime data. This is the block of Elm between Wisconsin and Woodmont Avenues. Strictly speaking, there are no traditional alleys on that block, but there are a couple of passageways, and a mid-block plaza that connects Elm with Hampden Lane.
