Bethesda Avenue garage entrance murals disappear at Bethesda Row (Photos)

How it started...

It's somewhat shocking to see the murals that lined the entrance driveway to the Bethesda Avenue Public Parking Garage 57 have been painted over or removed. The street art-inspired installations were added by former tenant Nando's PERi-PERi in 2012, and had become something of a landmark over the past decade. I would estimate they were the second-most Instagrammed spot at Bethesda Row, behind Bethesda Lane, and likely losing ground to the angel wings art piece in recent years.

The murals were painted by a very talented South African artist, Kilmany-Jo Liversage. It's a shame to see them go, and the bar is set high for what will replace them.

How it's going...
