A crane assembly team shut down a block of Old Georgetown Road all day Saturday to erect the tower crane for Washington Property Company's Solaire 7607 Old Georgetown Road apartment tower. Heavy equipment, flatbed trucks and a yellow assembly crane were all brought to the streets around the construction site. One street appeared to have taken some damage from the weight of the vehicles by the evening.
