David Blair today announced his intention to seek a recount of votes in the Democratic primary contest for Montgomery County Executive. A recount has been expected given the current 42-vote margin between second place finisher Blair and incumbent Marc Elrich, who last night declared victory in the race. Because the totals are so close, Blair is entitled to the recount under election law, and will not have to fund the effort. Blair referred to the Associated Press having declared the race "too close to call" in his statement this morning.
"After several weeks of counting and virtually all votes recorded, the Associated Press has declared this race too close to call," Blair said in the statement. "Given the extremely close margin, we will be requesting a full recount, and are hopeful that the outcome will be in our favor." The Montgomery County Board of Elections has not yet released a schedule for further canvassing or recounts. Stay tuned for updates on that.

If possible, Blair should run in November as independent!
ReplyDelete3:59 Great idea! Split the Republican vote! Don't need it for Elrich to win, but it would prove even more humiliating for Blair and Sully. You sir, are a genius!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's not possible. On a separate note, it's funny (and sad) seeing registered Republicans complain about the close results when they purposefully removed themselves from the only primary that mattered.
ReplyDelete@4:52 PM - Soon they (the registered Recons) will be complaining about FRAUD!
ReplyDeleteIt's actually funny to watch liberals twist in the wind much like the 5K illegals sent to DC for which Bowser wanted the National Guard. Funnier still is NYC mayor Adams admit that illegals got off the bus early because they were afraid of crime in the city. Things are only real or an emergency when it happens to democrats.
ReplyDelete5:43 breaking out what legitimately might be the dumbest non sequitur attempt the internet has ever seen.
ReplyDelete@5:43 Funnier still that your orange god is inches from being indicted for federal classified document mishandling, then tax evasion, then seditious conspiracy, then electoral college fake elector fraud. Your boy is going to prison! That's real, and it is a wonderful thing.
ReplyDeleteYour immigration rhetoric is supporting a Governor who can't keep his own state's lights on while his senator escapes to Cancun, so he's resorting to theatrics while billions in federal funds go to him and not DC or NYC. Its theater, which your orange god has made normal.
What's happening to Republicans, of which I was one for 28 years until 2016, is sad. You've all lost your mind and soul.
2:54/5:29 Are really subjects who believe in the totalitarian state. "Federal classified document mishandling", SERIOUSLY? Ever heard of Equal Treatment Under The Law? Didn't think so, because Clinton's server with Bleach Bit, Smartphones destroyed with hammers, Sandy Berger caught with classified material stuffed in his socks, Eric Swalwell cohorting with a known Chinese spy while continuing to serve on the House Intelligence Committee, not to mention the big one: Hunter Biden's laptop. If you're a democrat, there are few consequences when lying & spying, (at least legal ones), but that is all about to change. When they start coming after liberals for the same things, should they use leg irons at the airport like with Navarro?
ReplyDeleteCalled political overreach which has already backfired not only in some liberal circles but historic record donations to Trump and the people he supports. Look at his kingmaker record. Laugh now but any fair minded person can see that this was a colossal mistake which I'm glad they made because is shows who they really are.
5:29 claims to be a former Republican. Maybe along the lines of Liz Cheney whose husband happens to be a partner at the law firm defending Hunter Biden AND represented Jeffery Epstein. Good riddance because you belong in the democratic party.
Who is U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce E. Reinhart? This is the judge who issued the search warrant on Mar-a-Lago. Linked to the Epstein case, he represented Sarah Kellen and Nadia Marcinkova, described by some victims as Epstein's sex slave."
ReplyDeleteIn a 2011 Crime Victims' Rights Act lawsuit, Reinhart was accused of violating the Department of Justice's policies regarding switching sides, with the implication that he used information he learned from the DOJ to win favor with Epstein.
You liberals keep good company.
When the president of El Salvador questions banana republic tactics time to get a reality check.

I want to thank Garland/Biden/Wray and people like 5:29 who thinks it "wonderful" for clearing the way that will elect Trump in a landslide.
ReplyDeleteBTW, a representative for the democratic party was protesting Trymp in NYC yesterday.
