Police respond to assault on Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda (Photos)

A report of a 2nd-degree assault drew a substantial response from Montgomery County police Monday evening in downtown Bethesda. The assault was reported in the 7800 block of Wisconsin Avenue, outside of the 7-Eleven convenience store. Four police cruisers converged on the corner of Wisconsin and Fairmont Avenues at 8:20 PM. Officers had just been to the store a little over an hour earlier, after something was stolen there.

They really need to hurry up with the redevelopment of this corner. That 7-11 is pretty sketchy.

If every store and restaurant was turned to a bank, that would eliminate all crime outside of bankers hours. Great idea!

The second assault in the immediate area of that store in as many days. Good point on the redev.
