Digital billboards are back on Little Falls Parkway. Are they tamper-proof this time? We shall see. The purpose is to alert drivers to next week's controversial and dangerous reconfiguration of the road into one lane in each direction, with no median or barrier separating them.

Billboards return to Little Falls Parkway ahead of controversial road changes
Digital billboards are back on Little Falls Parkway. Are they tamper-proof this time? We shall see. The purpose is to alert drivers to next week's controversial and dangerous reconfiguration of the road into one lane in each direction, with no median or barrier separating them.
Well considering parks and planning board is all gone, who's left to override this?
ReplyDeleteJust to give you an idea of how bad these local officials are, even if hundreds of people contacted their official and demanded they scrap this idea, it would result in zero, nothing. They'll change this road, that has never been an issue, even though there was a tragic accident with a cyclist, forever. Once they do this, it'll never be returned. We have one weapon, your vote. It matters.
ReplyDelete" even if hundreds of people contacted their official and demanded they scrap this idea, it would result in zero, nothing"
ReplyDeleteThis is 100% true in every single facet of MoCo governance, from the small and petty to the large and overbearing. The Council and the bureaucrats always know best.
Why aren't there more comments on this? Every week Robert is reporting on roadways being forever changed and forever ruined. The next shoe to drop? Old Geo'twn Road North is about to be added to the list and forever ruined. Heading North toward Wildwood Shopping Center, they are going to take an entire travel lane out of commission and install an expensive border and bike lane. Unreal.
ReplyDeleteBack to Little Falls. This is insane and dangerous not safer. I have been here all my life and that stretch was not then and is not now a corridor that requires this level of permanent change. An entire side (not one lane) of the road is going to be taken out of commission. Neighbors are ok with this? Elrich and Co will be reelected. My gosh!
