Vera Bradley closes at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda

Vera Bradley
has closed at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda. Their space has been cleared out. Vera Bradley opened here in June 2012. That's an impressive run, but apparently not enough to survive the moribund Montgomery County economy that has claimed so many victims in recent years.

Yep, Robert, you've overused the word "moribund". It's irritating.

As for Vera Bradley ----- the line is boring. Add to the fact that Montgomery Mall has been
failing for quite a while probably hurt the business and the crime at the mall I'm sure is another factor.

It sounds like the company is struggling.

Their stock is down 70% in the past year.

Literally directly above this post, you list a store that is opening in the Montgomery Mall.

Why is it that if a store closes it is due to the corrupt MoCo council or moribund Montgomery county economy...but a store opens and crickets. There is something called the business cycle.

The Left is funny - they see evidence of failing schools - and call them 'improving'.
They see evidence of a moribund economy - and they attack the messenger.
If they look across the river at BOOMING Virginia, - well, they won't do that, will they?
Why do they trip over themselves trying to say everything is great in MoCo - when all evidence points to the contrary? Party over Country, Party over Community. Sick.

Robert you really need to do a better job of monitoring comment submissions to all of your blogs. These obvious political trolls who constant attack your democratic audience, really detract from the substance of your reporting. Either you are turning a deaf ear to their submissions, as such, giving support to their attacks, or have this First Amendment attitude in regards to free speech. Either way it makes you look just a guilty and gullible. It needs to STOP!
