Another assault in Rock Spring area of Bethesda
Montgomery County police were called to investigate a 2nd-degree assault in the Rock Spring area on Wednesday afternoon, November 9, 2022. The assault was reported on the street in the 6700 block of Rockledge Drive at 4:31 PM. That was the second assault in a week in Rock Spring, with the first taking place November 2. It's interesting that as Montgomery County has begun converting this quiet office park area to residential zoning, crime is suddenly increasing.
It's the proximity to Montgomery Mall that's drawing the criminals.
ReplyDeleteWhere's all the "see you in November" commentors now? Funny.
ReplyDeleteYour brand of bravado, scare tactics, and nonsense in Mr Dyer's blog over the last few months, has now gone suddenly silent.
Nation-wide, your cult ideology and your march towards autocracy and incivility lost (again). You aren't ever going to win broadly, not in Montgomery County, not in Maryland, and not nationally.
I was a Republican for 30 years, and left in 2016 because I didn't recognize, and couldn't be a part of, the nonsense anymore. Maybe you will all wake up now, also. The fever dream is over, or you will continue to lose elections.
Saw you in November! :)
Of course there was. There aren't enough police patrolling because the MoCo Police Department is less than half the size it should be for a County of this size. The decision for why that is is completely the fault of the one-party all-democrat County Leadership.
ReplyDeleteGet your MD Wear & Carry Permit and properly train. You can't count on the police to be there when you need them to be. Thank a MoCo Democrat voter for that.
So will 5:40 take any responsibility for crime? Never happen because liberals have never accepted the consequences of their actions.
ReplyDeleteWhat happens when the DC crime reform gets passed? Let's all watch what happens when Illinois Safe-T-Act takes effect passed with all democrat votes.
Not surprising as the left has lost all morality and the ends always justify the means.
@5:40 - well said. The GOP brought out its "tried and true" win-back agenda of exaggerating crime statistics and the myth that Republicans run the economy better and the voters stuffed it back in their faces. The party with no platform will never win again statewide or nationally until they break with their cult worship of religion and populism.
ReplyDelete" exaggerating crime statistics"
ReplyDeletePretty funny if it weren't so tragic.
5:40 PM/@7:21 AM: You both sound ok with one party rule, especially as it pertains to Montgomery County. So, congratulations on owning the rampant crime here. Congratulations on it being a haven for illegal immigrants as a sanctuary county. Congratulations on the overcrowded schools. Congratulations on the high taxes. Congratulations on the poor road conditions. I feel very comfortable coming out and calling you out on your failure on all these fronts. The only thing cultish here is you being stuck in your belief and surrounded by others that you're doing a great job for the community. I'm proud to have a platform that stands against all of your failure.
ReplyDeleteI hope 7:21 is still around when their policies slap them in the face. But then again like 5:51 said, they will seek to blame others for their own failings.
ReplyDeleteWith great power comes great responsibility, (credit to Spiderman), and democrats have failed miserably at all levels of policy except at ballot manipulation. Get ready for more crime, inflation and illegal immigration but that was the point.
@3:59 AM Platform? You mean that invisible thing like Harvey the Rabbit? It's there, but no one can see it but you? Right! Your charades weren't bought by the masses so its game over for the GIANT elephant in the room. Buh bye for now.
ReplyDeleteMoCo County has become the second-degree assault capital of the world. Thanks, MoCo County Republican Party, for not bothering to exist.
ReplyDelete@9:29 AM: You're just not getting it. I'm proud that I as can disagree with everything that the One Party Democrat Leadership has done to ruin Montgomery County. You as a supporter of that One Party Democrat Leadership here completely own the rampant violent crime because there aren't enough police. You completely own the illegal immigration problem because you made MoCo a sanctuary county. You completely own the overcrowded schools because you're spending the money on worthless programs which don't amount to anything. You completely own the poor roads because of inefficient maintenance. You completely own these things which affect the quality of everyday life here. You made them all this way, and I as an American and MoCo resident can stand on my own principles and say that I don't want these things to be this way. I want them to be better. You own and support a record of policy and leadership failures which I don't want any part of and which I'm proud to say I disagree with. I won't accept or tolerate what you consider acceptable or tolerable. Someone like you doesn't mind crashing the plane as long as you're the one flying it.
ReplyDelete@9:31 AM: Best thing to avoid second-degree assault here is pepper spray or a wear and carry permit for a firearm after proper training. It's not the fault of the Republican Party if thousands of Elrich Voters still vote for him after having their cars stolen over the past few years. That's a cultish level of buy-in which you can't break.
