Chicken on the Run, which closed earlier this year at 4933 St. Elmo Avenue, is returning to downtown Bethesda. Brown paper has gone up over the windows of their space, which still has the restaurant's logos left behind on the glass. There is still kitchen equipment and even tables inside, so it probably won't take as long for them to get up and running as a whole new restaurant would.

Chicken on the Run to reopen in Bethesda
Chicken on the Run, which closed earlier this year at 4933 St. Elmo Avenue, is returning to downtown Bethesda. Brown paper has gone up over the windows of their space, which still has the restaurant's logos left behind on the glass. Thank goodness!!!
ReplyDeleteSame location?
ReplyDeleteWhere did you hear this from?
ReplyDeleteLast time I ate there before becoming a Vegetarian (almost 20 yrs ago), their white rice was so hard, it broke off part of my tooth! Good location for a hole-in-the-wall take-out, tho'.
ReplyDeleteGreat food. Happy to hear this.
ReplyDeleteSuper Chicken in Tyson's on route 7 is packed all day, every day. This place never has and never will be. Nothing personal but it's just not good enough.
ReplyDeleteYayyyyy!

Great news. Place was always busy for lunch. One of the best bang-for-you-buck lunch places in town. Love the Chop Chop special.

ReplyDeleteThis makes my day. I love that place. I mourned when it closed.
ReplyDeleteThat is great news! (And comparing them to some place out in Tysons is kind of pointless)
ReplyDeleteI am greatly saddened that Chicken On The Run did not get the coveted JAC Seal Of Approval.
ReplyDelete5:17 - Hard to give that place anything but a thumbs down. Sorry to disappoint
