Shooting outside of Clyde's of Chevy Chase

Montgomery County police are investigating a shooting that wounded one adult male outside of Clyde's of Chevy Chase early Monday morning, just before 12:15 AM. A man allegedly engaged in a dispute with two adult males inside the restaurant, before all three exited the building. Once outside, the suspect shot one of the men, and assaulted the second man, and fled the scene. Both victims were transported to local hospitals, where they are recovering from non-life-threatening injuries.

Police describe the suspect as a thin, African-American man between the ages of 20 and 25. He was armed with a handgun. Police say the incident was isolated to those involved, and that they do not believe the greater community is in danger from the gunman, who remains at-large.

Anyone with information regarding this suspect or this crime is asked to call the 2nd District Investigative Section at (240) 773-6710 or (240) 773-TIPS, or contact Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect. Callers can remain anonymous.

Clyde's should have the name of the shooter to give to the police if he paid with a credit card. Am I missing something here?

Clyde's is open that late on Sunday nights? That's the place we take my great grandmother for dinner. I thought it was all old people who go there?

@8:40 AM Clyde's is indeed the establishment we take our elders out for supper, but earlier times. The one at Tower Oaks was our go to spot for the elders, but the bar at that location was off the hook! I can only imagine how more festive it gets later in the evening. #NoPlaceIsSafeAnymoreForAnyoneInMoCo

@4:09 The Tower Oaks Clyde's bar had a vicious fight occur a few years ago involving an off-duty cop. I believe he is now doing time for this altercation. It also was in jeopardy of losing it's liquor license recently.
