Bethesda apartment burglarized
Montgomery County police responded to a report of a break-in at an apartment building in downtown Bethesda early yesterday morning, January 8, 2023. The burglary was reported at an apartment in the 4800 block of Edgemoor Lane at 12:00 AM Sunday. From the address, that appears to be at The Edge apartments. Officers responding to the scene found evidence of forced entry into the apartment.
Are there access fobs for the doors and/or elevators? If they came through the lobby, the individual is likely on camera.

ReplyDeleteFWIW Apartments with balconies are a lot vulnerable for invasion via the roof or the apartment above. That happened to an acquaintance in Philly. She woke up to an intruder in her apt!

Why should other building residents not also be considered suspects? That's an interesting prejudice, that only an outsider could commit the crime.

ReplyDeleteI live in the Edge and haven’t heard a peep from management but our concierges are pretty strict, so I’d be shocked if it was our building. In fact, a few weeks ago, I forgot my keys, and realized when I got outside - I could use an app to open the front door and also another app to open my apart. Door, but the elevator needs an escort - the concierge, even knowing it was me, escorted me to my apt to make sure I was on the up and up, and I appreciated it.
