The new awnings arrived and have been installed at Old Georgetown Grille at 7755 Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda. They've got the same retro font, but with better color since they haven't been faded by the sun yet. The blustery winter storm did a number on the awnings at the popular diner a few weeks back.

Old Georgetown Grille replaces storm-damaged awnings (Photos)
The new awnings arrived and have been installed at Old Georgetown Grille at 7755 Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda. They've got the same retro font, but with better color since they haven't been faded by the sun yet. The blustery winter storm did a number on the awnings at the popular diner a few weeks back.
It would have been cool to see a before and after picture for comparison.
ReplyDeletegreat place. great food and service. you should go there more often! (no, I'm not the owner, but i like him them)
ReplyDeleteOGG is a classic spot. Food is always good, service always great, family owned it seem? Love these no frills joints
ReplyDeleteGlad they finally got it fixed. It was so torn up, I assumed they were going bankrupt.
ReplyDeleteThe place is only open for breakfast and lunch right?
Robert, what blustery winter storm? We have had amild winter.
ReplyDeleteTastee Diner is 4star cuisine compared to that place, and I love Tastee. Cops & AA leftovers from Del Ray Club use it as a hangout. Potato chips on the side? A grilled cheese was literally the only thing I could order and eat from the menu. Location, great, yes but that's the extent of it. A place like that would do great in Ocean City, MD where vacationers are desperate for that first meal of the day.
