I never knew it was there! I wish I did.

This place always seems like a gimmick. Good for one visit, then done.

Yep, just a gimmick. I took my kids and they were happy to see it once and that's it. They prefer Sarah's over on River Road near the Whole Foods.

I've walked by a thousand times but never felt compelled to enter. It never looked great inside, and there are what, 4 other ice cream options within a three-minute walk?

They also did subpar-looking bubble tea?

Sorry, I don't want to kick them while they're down, but it doesn't surprise me.

Now we'll just have to see what new highly marketed dermatology focussed service opens up to compete with the 7 other options next door.

I agree with the previous anonymous poster... Sarah's is the best if you want to go that far!

  5. FYI - There were three Class520's until this location closed, Rockville and College Park are still in business. Apparently they have a more receptive audience to Thai style desserts they serve, than in Bethesda.

This location had very irregular hours. It would just be randomly closed on a Saturday when it was supposed to be open. Many times we went and waited over a half hour for our ice cream. They had 1 or 2 people working and it would be so time consuming for them to get the ice cream to freeze correctly then do the mix in and then curl it with the spatula and then add the extras that the customer asked for. All that took at least 4 minutes per order plus people would order smoothies or teas. And it would usually be just 1 person making the treats and 1 person taking the orders. We just stopped going even when we saw it was open.

Meh, wasn't impressed at all. They had a way of cutting the ice cream in little curly sheets and mixing it with a little fruit. One and done.
