ZBurger opening Bethesda location (Photos)

Bill Clinton's favorite burger joint is expanding to downtown Bethesda. ZBurger has leased the former BGR storefront at 4827 Fairmont Avenue, at Veterans Park. Signage was installed on the restaurant's exterior today. ZBurger is known for its made-to-order burgers, hot dogs, cheesesteaks, signature Z burger seasoning, and 75 varieties of milkshakes and concretes made with premium Wisconsin custard. It's also known to attract a certain former U.S. President when he's in town.

  1. I thought this was going to be a taco place?

  2. 11:53: That was indeed the initial rumor immediately after BGR's closure, but obviously must have fallen through at this point.

At least they don't use foie gras like that goose & duck murdering establishment does.

What restaurant serves meat that is not a byproduct of murdered animals?

We’ll actually have a “Fast Food” Restaurant in downtown Bethesda. Good but I’ll still probably continue going to McDonalds down on River Rd because they have Drive-Thru !

Are Five Guys, Halal Guys, Chipotle, &pizza, Perfect Pita, The Big Greek Cafe, not considered quick service restaurants or not in Downtown Bethesda?

  8. Mindy,

The shops that front Veterans Park are addressed as Fairmont Avenue, as if the street on either side continued through the park.

  9. I thought Jettie's was expanding as well. That's really too bad. Z Burger is no Shake Shack I don't think. I may have eaten at their Tenley area location quite a few years ago but can't remember. Maybe the food was forgettable. Anyone here know if Z is any good?

  10. Five Guys is upscale fast food and maybe just-slightly(?) downscale from this and in Downtown Bethesda...
