Gramcarat, a jewelry store, will take over the vacant Modell's space at 7201 Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Bethesda. Gramcarat has been a vendor at the Montgomery Farm Women's Market in Bethesda, and is now expanding into its own permanent bricks-and-mortar location. The family-owned business offers 14kt & 18kt gold pieces, natural diamonds, and gemstones. Gramcarat also provides watch and jewelry repair services. I wonder if that space is now going to be subdivided into smaller storefronts, as it is quite sizeable for a jewelry store.

Was hoping Barnes and Noble would go in there. Bummer
ReplyDeleteThis is going to reek of 'pop up' gimcrack retail. That's too big of a space!! Bring back Prince Custom Framing. The second owner really had an eye for framing.
