Montgomery County police are seeking the public's help in identifying and locating four suspects in the November 20, 2023 armed robbery of the Amazon Fresh store at the Collection at Chevy Chase in Friendship Heights. Detectives say four people entered the store sometime prior to 12:43 PM Monday, and began to fill bags with merchandise. When an employee approached two of the suspects, one of them raised his shirt to display a handgun in his waistband, and announced that this was an armed robbery of the store.
The employee backed away, and allowed the suspects to leave with bags filled with merchandise of undisclosed value. When the suspects were last seen, they were carrying their bags toward the Friendship Heights Metro station. Police have now released surveillance footage of the four suspects.
Suspect one is described by police as a Black male with a medium build, approximately 6-feet, 1-inch tall and 180 pounds with a beard. Suspect two is described as a Black female, approximately 5-feet, 2-inches tall and 220 pounds. Her hair was dyed orange and worn in braids. Suspect three and four are described as two Black males, one with a medium build and the other with a beard.
Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this crime or the suspects involved to call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspects. Callers may remain anonymous.

ReplyDeleteand photos of the alleged robbers.
Didn't Elrich ban guns from grocery stores, (all public places)? This must be a misprint with fake video or liberals are completely vacant of logic.
ReplyDeleteBut get used to it. If the police make an arrest, they'll be given a court date and released. When they fail to appear, (FTA), the DA will likely not issue a warrant in an effort to "eliminate mass incarceration".
When there are no consequences there will be no safety. Sad that those who voted for Moore, Elrich and the rest of the council can't make these simple connections.
Of course if it was a law abiding citizen with a permit to carry that stopped them the lawful gun owner would be arrested 🤬🤬🤬
DeleteOh please. So easy to say. Why don’t you take a job or run for office and get back to me with the miracles you wrought.
DeleteWhy are you anonymous?
DeleteVery brazen, no fear of being stopped or apprehended. It's out of control, we need to face hard facts.
ReplyDeleteRemember, policing is inherently racist, according to the Silver Spring Justice Coalition.
ReplyDeleteBetter to not enforce the laws, right?

Big city aspirations, big city problems and crime.
ReplyDeleteMostly the 15 or so lost cities that share similar politics and demographics.
DeleteLOL at them stealing rolls of paper towels! They're worth basically a few dollars and the most you can carry is like 2 of 6 packs of them. hahahaha! One container of expensive shampoo would = 2 6 packs of paper towels.
ReplyDeleteSo how long before this store will be forced to close? Very sad for the residents who count on local businesses.
ReplyDeleteYoung people are taught that they are owed things. I was reading yesterday in MC360 that BCC students have been arrested for carjacking, One led the police in a car chase and crashed. I agree with 1:26, no consequences, no safety.

1:26 What DA?
ReplyDeleteDid you see on Fox 5 last night that this genius was risking serious prison time to steal rolls of PAPER TOWELS? That's what he was loading into those plastic trash bags: paper towels.
ReplyDeleteAmen!
ReplyDelete"the DA will likely not issue a warrant"
ReplyDeleteOf course the DA wouldn't because the JUDGE would as an immediate and certain response. But thanks for fabricating a complete BS take in a pathetic attempt to sow fear.
The metro as a getaway is the key. Easy arrival and easy getaway. As a store detective, I chased numerous shoplifters while working at “Woodies Dept Store” who used the metro as transport in the 80’s. Now I would not do it with the lack of county and state support to prosecute. The shoplifters were sneaky back then. Now they are brazen and life threatening. Glad I do not work and live in MC anymore! No police - no security. Have it your way MC voters and please do not complain when this happens. It was your choice MC voters.
ReplyDeleteStay safe and support your Police and law and order! 99% of our officers are good and want to serve and protect you. Really!!! Retire LEO.

ReplyDelete@1:26 PM - Shouldn't you be out somewhere stuffing a ballot box with red votes? That way you and your far, far right ilk may windup jailed before 2024.
ReplyDeleteGaslight much?
DeleteI don't remember ever seeing anything alluding to "red vote ballot stuffing," I think you're a bit confused.
DeleteJohn McCarthy, MC States attorney since 2007 is implementing racial bias study via the Performance Indicators Project, a group that has led similar studies in 11 other state's attorney's offices, including in the Chicago area, Milwaukee, and Philadelphia.
ReplyDeleteWhat could go wrong? Morons, (one with orange hair), stealing paper towels and other merchandise with guns.
Clueless voters like 6:11 & 10:29 will keep doing the same things over and over expecting different results while society collapses. Probably Trump's fault.
Wow, from 3 comments to 18 overnight prolly due to going viral on local news.
ReplyDeleteAll depends on which news one watches. NBC 4 minimizes descriptions so much to make it unbearable to watch: they'll put out a "BOLO" but hide faces. Channel 7 comes the closest to telling it like it is, but still mollycoddling and milquetoast.

ReplyDeleteI recall seeing a shoplifter bolt out of Woodies and an "Inventory Recovery Employee" chase after in hot pursuit into the Metro entrance.
It's terrible that right wing states have allowed the country to become infected with hundreds of millions of guns, but it is helpful for locking up criminals. With a simple lift of the shirt that one person doomed these paper towel thieves to prison time.
ReplyDelete5:07 do you moonlight as WH Press Secretary?

5:15 - In crazy MD? Sadly, yes, you're correct. MD does not have a Stand Your Ground law. That's right, even if someone is trained and armed, you're legally required to retreat. What are your chances of making a safe retreat when the bad guy has a gun pointed at you? Totally insane policies.
ReplyDeleteThey shoot you when you are 'retreating,' truly "would you rather face 12 jurors or 6 pall bearers?" You voted for it! You live (or die)with it.
