J. Chow's as seen on December 27, 2023 |
It was certainly suspicious when
J. Chow's Chicken, Ribs & Salads was closed during normal operating hours on December 27, 2023. The eatery in the Dining Terrace food court hasn't reopened since. Their equipment is still there, but someone has now unplugged the beverage cooler.
Store Reporter and
The MoCo Show both report that J. Chow's has closed. Sad news indeed for this family business that managed to survive both Lerner's plug-pulling on the much-missed White Flint Mall by relocating here, and the pandemic.

This weekend |
Saw that the other day. A few other empty food court spots as well. I don't understand why a concept like Slade's, Clyde's, Hamburger Hamlet, etc, doesn't open at the mall. You're talking about fast and casual here but they really need to step it up.
ReplyDelete@1:04 - Asked and answered, you don't understands while all others, including restaurateurs do.
ReplyDelete6:59 - What does that even mean that all others understand? So, a place such as I've suggested, wouldn't do well at the mall? There are full service restaurants currently succeeding at the mall are there not? Better food court options, yes. But a concept like a Clyde's type would do very, very well.
ReplyDeleteBrookfield Properties partnered with Fuddruckers a couple of years ago to develop some mall-friendly versions of that chain.
ReplyDeleteThat said, even though I'm not sure how well it'd work in a mall environment, I'd really like to see Jason's Deli expand a bit around here.
I'll miss that place. Best wishes to the owners in their retirement.
