Mussel Bar & Grille sets opening date in Bethesda
The return of Mussel Bar & Grille to downtown Bethesda now has a definite opening date. It is October 16, 2024. Chef-owner Robert Wiedmaier's former Bethesda Row favorite turns to the Woodmont Triangle neighborhood this time around. The new Mussel Bar is located at 4903 Cordell Avenue.
I'll set the closing date, anyone wanna play the lotto or bingo card?
ReplyDeleteSo went in there and spoke to one of the partners. And:
ReplyDelete1) There's NO bar. And there won't be.
2) Only four taps, one beer fridge, and that wonderful selection from the last location is not going to show up. "We'll have a few Belgian beers. But we don't have room."
3) When asked, since there's no bar, if folks just do a happy hour where they drink but don't eat, the response was "That won't be allowed."
The place is so small, too. As is the kitchen.
To the other comment on this post -- I would, normally, say they'd be closed within a year. But the TJ's owner is also a partner in the RW group so they're probably sharing that lease with them.
Duly noted.
