Montgomery County police responded to a report of a strong-arm robbery at a downtown Bethesda convenience store Tuesday morning, October 22, 2024. The robbery was reported at Tobacco & More Mart at 7809 Old Georgetown Road. It occurred at 9:39 AM Tuesday. This is approximately the fourth time the store has been targeted by robbers since it opened last year.
Wonder if McCarthy will start reporting crime stats now that the FBI has quietly revised crime numbers to include only some of the high crime jurisdictions.

ReplyDelete4:56: Strong-arm means the use or threat of physical force not involving a weapon. If a suspect merely implies having a gun, even if it is not shown (I.e. a hand in a jacket pocket raised toward the victim), the incident is then classified as an armed robbery.
