Chase Bank nears opening on River Road in Bethesda (Photos)

At least the building no longer looks like an abandoned WWII concrete bunker.
ReplyDeleteEverything about this location looks like it’s meant for a bank robbery getaway. Gives me the creeps honestly.
ReplyDelete@10:12 totally agree with you!
ReplyDeleteWho at Chase thought this was a good location for this? Seriously. I'd like to see the pitch and powerpoint for it.
ReplyDelete@ 10:49 AM: given that bank branches see minimal use these days, someone noted recently that they are essentially advertising billboards. And this is a high-visibility location. And Chase is noted for this. E.g. the two former gas station sites around the Woodmont Triangle.
DeleteIt would have made a perfect location for Popeyes!
ReplyDelete@9:40 AM Thanks! It seems absolutely nuts that a bank branch would be approved/built on a "relatively" high speed road with multiple ways to escape. I'm never going in this place.
ReplyDeleteThat whole stretch is too hard to get in and out of. I save my few attempts for 'cheap' fuel when it's easy and I'm on that side of the road. What dd rule did J. Edgar Hoover live by? No left turns!
