Trendy Man Italia closing, Peter Mason opens at Montgomery Mall
Two menswear tenants at Westfield Montgomery Mall are headed in opposite directions. Trendy Man Italia is on the way out, and is holding a closing sale. Those signs seen across moribund Montgomery County so often in recent years - "Store Closing," "Everything Must Go!" - are on display at the entrance to the shop. But if you need to suit up for the holidays, don't panic: Peter Mason by Montgomery Custom Tailors is now open on Level 1 in the Old Navy wing of the mall, across from The Cheesecake Factory.
Come on man, that Trendy Men store in the mall looked like low quality garbage. Of course no one wanted to shop there. Not every business that closes does so because of the economy. Sone businesses are just bad.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely. The name of the store says it all! And if the economy is so bad in Montgomery County why is Tory Burch opening at the mall? Tory Burch=$$$$
Delete8:20: Kate Spade and Stuart Weitzman also opened in Bethesda - and then closed.
Delete"If the economy is so bad in Montgomery County why is Stuart Weitzman opening at the mall?" Well, it closed at the mall, due to the moribund MoCo economy and flight of the rich.
As you can see, individual store openings are irrelevant to the moribundity of Montgomery County's stagnant economy.
Montgomery Mall: Zero sum game
