Assault at Bethesda Row


Montgomery County police responded to a report of a 2nd-degree assault at Bethesda Row Tuesday night, March 17, 2026. The assault was reported at 10:36 PM Tuesday. It took place on Bethesda Lane, a pedestrian-only street lined with shops and restaurants.

    Where were all the flashing lights presence of off duty or OT PoPo at that time? They don't care about preventing crime, just collecting the OT pay and getting home safe to their families every night, yet we pay them as sworn officers who took an oath. And don't come at me bro, about being 100 officers short for this district or county as a whole. #FalseDeterrent

      12:39, our popo peeps are likely just as frustrated with the lax jurisprudence support and our 'elected' 'leaders" as we few sensible bona fide citizens and taxpayers are frustrated and endangered. Just saying...

    C'mon, bro. Even if there were a five hundred more officers in Bethesda, there would still be some street crime. The police can't be everywhere all the time.

      An arrest with a fair prosecution to one of these recent crimes and gun discharges would go a long way to send a message, rather than the invites we're sending out now.
