Trattoria Sorrento at 4930 Cordell Avenue in Bethesda has scheduled its annual late-summer break for mid-August. The Italian restaurant will temporarily close on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, and will reopen on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. Still family-owned after 34 years in business, Trattoria Sorrento is one of several small businesses in downtown Bethesda that schedule time off in the summer.
We need more establishments and proprietors like this! Great place, wonderful food and service.
ReplyDeleteIn February I ordered the bruschetta and it came to my table warm, and I was a little miffed, never had warm before. Holy cow, was it incredible for such a simple dish!! I am guessing if they did not own the building they wouldn't be able to take this break in August - gotta pay the tax man, dontchaknow.
