Montgomery County police are investigating the theft of a vehicle from an apartment building in the Pooks Hill area of Bethesda. The vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of Pooks Hill Tower & Court at 3 Pooks Hill Road. Police believe it was stolen sometime between 9:15 PM on Sunday, May 3, 2026 and 9:00 AM yesterday morning. A description of the stolen vehicle was not released.

DeleteI cannot believe this is the only stolen vehicle in greater BCC in the past few days. I do, however, believe it is the only one we're somehow deemed worthy to hear about. If I am wrong it is primarily because we get such short shrift in updates / crime news / and descriptions of perps. This is what happens with the dearth of data from our police and AG, no description is now a description just as zero and sanitized crime reports only shed a glimmer of realities that we should be made aware of. And we have the absolute right to be informed by our county Employees and elected (and temporary) 'officials.'
