A power outage this evening inside Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda forced some tenants to close early. Nordstrom was pitch black and boutiques like Victoria's Secret and White House | Black Market decided to close for the night. Some of the affected businesses regained power by 8:30, but the Apple Store was still turning customers away and directing them to come back tomorrow, despite having its power restored.
Westfield released a statement within the last hour: "Due to a power outage, some stores at Westfield Montgomery are closing early today. We’re sorry for the interruption and appreciate your patience as we work to get things back to normal." We're seeing the failure of the Maryland electrical grid in real time, folks.

Evil coal & natural gas! Meanwhile they have no alternatives to back their "green" policies.
How does that power outage automatically qualify as a "failure of the Maryland electrical grid"?
Couldn't it have been caused by a problem in the mall's own electrical system?

It very well could be, but that wouldn't fit in with the doomer narrative here.
In the bigger picture Moore and Alsobrooks sealed our fate. We will be no better than California, New York, Oregon, and Illinois. The taxed will simply have to.leave before the eventual implosion.
And then the cascading house of cards will accelerate the decline. Like the righting moment of a ship in trouble, the more trouble the county gets in, the harder and harder it will be to right the ship. But, of course, they first would have to acknowledge the problem, and then be willing to mitigate it. No worries at all that will happen.
