Many readers have been asking about the renovations underway at the Shops of Wisconsin for the last couple of years. There were a number of delays in the construction, and changes to the design.
I now have word from Clare Marino, the architect handling the construction phase work for the project, that the materials for the shopping center's new plaza are arriving on site. Installation will take about two months.
The retail center is located at 6831 Wisconsin Avenue, and is probably best known for its anchor tenant, Trader Joe's.

So what is going to be in there? Is Trader Joe's leaving when its lease is up in 2years?
ReplyDeleteDo we know their lease is up in two years?
DeleteThe Wisconsjn project won't be ready by then!

Two years for that? Ick. .not much of anything.
ReplyDeleteMan this has been a slow project. Hope it looks good at the end, because so far the black paint and whatever is in there now doesn't seem like it's going anywhere good.
ReplyDeleteBtw, kudos for citing your source!
ReplyDeleteDouglas dev is so overextended, this kind of thing is common with their properties. See Wisc and Brandywine...
ReplyDeleteLipstick on a pig. The whole thing should have been scrapped. Such a waste of space.
ReplyDeleteYes what a crappy building to begin with!
DeleteTrader joe's is gone as soon as the building is built where fitness first is.
