Here's the first look at what the Hyatt Regency Bethesda hotel will look like after its major renovation project is complete. You can see the new restaurant/retail space that will be created at the front right corner of the building on Wisconsin Avenue.
Meanwhile, the rooms and common areas are also getting a complete overhaul. The hotel will remain open throughout the renovations, and interior work will be staged incrementally, to prevent interference with guests staying at the property.

They really need to start over and replace that hotel with a W. Hyatt really does not match the spirit of Bethesda.

You mean the one where Clark is trying to dictate what their neighbor builds?
DeleteDo they have their own elevator to the metro? That entrance could use some better detail and highlighting to call it out. This is a huge improvement over what's there though. I like the balcony overlooking 355 and the metro plaza.
ReplyDeleteThey need to upgrade the interior rooms. I recently had friends stay there and I was little embarrassed about the room quality.

DeleteHow come Dyer never goes berserk on Marc Elrich or Nancy Floreen? They defeated him just like Hans Riemer and George Leventhal did.
ReplyDeleteNot sure, but The Washington Post reported that Riemer had no major accomplishments in his first term and Leventhal regularly berates staff. So there's that.

ReplyDelete9:18 AM Would Dyer bring more to the table and represent Bethesda better than Riemer? Yeah, I think so. (Did you see the photo of Riemer having to tour Bethesda from a bus? He's in the midst of his second term, hope he gets out to Bethesda more!)
ReplyDeleteFrom what I read here daily, Dyer is addressing more issues from Bethesda constituents (pedestrian safety, development, road repairs, etc.) than Riemer.
I don't see what this has to do with the Hyatt renovation however.
So Dyer finally stops ranting about Riemar, and then all the commentators who have gone on and on and on and on about it start ranting about Riemar. Great.
