Bethesda construction update: Flats 8300 luxury apartments (Photos)

The sign is up at the Flats 8300 luxury apartments, StonebridgeCarras' newest Bethesda development at 8300 Wisconsin Avenue. Just a note for those following along from the beginning of the construction process - at some point the "at" in "Flats at 8300" was dropped for marketing purposes, so it is now called Flats 8300.

Flats 8300 was constructed by Donohoe Construction, and Bozzuto is the property manager. If you're wondering when the Harris Teeter will open in the ground floor...they're behind schedule. They have their own construction contractor for their interior build-out, so Donohoe is not to blame.

And no update for the Harris Teeter?

  2. It's pretty nice inside. Biggest/longest lobby I've ever seen - it just keeps going and going. I wish they had out in more detail though.
May the way, why do apartment buildings use those tacky tied up signs? They are pretty much going to have advertising year round why not build it in? Equinox does a good job with theirs.

Well, at least its not a picture of meatballs. This comment section should stay civil.

As was asked, all anyone cares about is the grocery store. Could you please call their press office and report when they expect to deliver that store? All other reporting on this project is pointless unless your readers are looking for a million dollar apartment to move into. Thank you!

@ 6:56, 7:00 AM - It seems that Dyer won't bother to do his job unless his readers tell him how, step by step.

Also, the Kent Bloomer works are lovely. We really should look into having him do something for our daughter's dorm room in a couple of years.

Did Donohoe pay Dyer to say that they are not to blame for Harris Teeter's delays?

  7. I will have a separate report on Harris Teeter. There frankly isn't much to report. I don't expect it to be August, but certainly not soon.

He has a separate report on Teeter but there's not much to report. That's a good one.

I read that as "Hans Tieter". LOL

Should be! His nighttime economy efforts have done as much for this building and Harris Teeter as they have for the bars that closed.
