Orange you glad they're repainting the Bruce Variety building? (Photos)

The most recent home of Bruce Variety at 8011 Woodmont Avenue has become vacant again, as I reported last week. Now the house-like retail structure is being repainted, and the most recent addition is a neon orange trim.

Someone in your last thread mentioned this building was part of the Toll Brothers project - is that true? I asked in the other post but no one answered. Thanks!

Is it part of the parking lot redevelopment? Which properties are part of that? Any info on it? Thanks!

Was it really necessary to post all five of these photos? Specifically, what context is added by showing the blank white wall in #3, or the three essentially similar shots in #1, #4 and #5? A single photo, directly facing the front, would have sufficed.

Also, why did you not pixelate the licence plate on the green 4Runner, in #2??

On the other hand, you very carefully hid the license plate of the white car parked in the handicapped space, and made sure that it is not possible to verify whether or not that car has a permit hanging from the mirror. Was this car parked legally, or not?

Weird that Blogger didn't automatically remove all those extra blank lines in @ 12:13 PM. Other sites do that. I guess Dyer has the extra-cheap, pay-absolutely-nothing-for-anything version of Blogger.

Robert Dyer is a cancer. I feel sorry for everyone who lives in Bethesda. He dishonors us all.

  6. 5:27: I believe it's the Bruce property and the parking lot. Everything north is Toll Brothers, and the Bethesda Chocolates building is a separate landowner.

What about Sapphire Grill? Is that part of the redevelopment of the Beuce property and parking lot? Thanks.

I guess it is getting ready for its inevitable fate of being some shitty Halloween pop-up store?
