With liquor license in hand, Vük selling more than pizza in Bethesda

Want a cold one with that New York-style pizza, or to cool off after a round of pinball? Now you can get one. Vük has just received its liquor license from Montgomery County, and its first delivery of beer.

Stop by tonight and see what they've got on the beer list so far. As of last night, Yuengling was in stock, but they are just getting started.

    The twins love the AC DC pinball machine. I like knowing they can be left off at Vuk with $50 in quarters and be safe and occupied while I take the Au Pair with me to carry my parcels while I do a little shopping on Bethesda row. It's a shame Vuk is not a permanent installation.

    Actually I almost got mowed down on the CCT yesterday by a yoga-ish looking 30 something brunette woman who blew though the crosswalk while on her phone. Kenwood Forrest intersection. Blue Tesla with plate starting with 2112. Poppy, was that you?

    @6:46 I fully admit I was very very skeptical about Vuk. The end product turned out to be very safe, clean and wonderful. Vuk, I am sorry I doubted your concept. Quite honestly, now that they are open, the only person I could picture being there and looking like the Fonz would be Robert. I definitely feel like the twins would be safe around him.

    Remember everyone, it is VERY progressive to rethink prior positions on issues. A progressive doesn't just have the best ideas, they have the best ideas for that exact moment in time.

    I had Vuk delivered the other day on Door Dash and found it to be quite good and reasonably priced. It's a no-frills NYC pizza, but if you're in the mood for that I think it's well worth it.

    The variety of tables is great too. Some old some new. Really something for everyone. They even maintain a marker board with high scores. Some of these guys are really good at pinball.

    The guy behind the pizza counter is a real cut-up too. He's got a very whacky and sarcastic sense of humor. The last time I was there he acted like I needed a reservation to get a slice before busting into laughter. Made my day.

    Went to VUK the week they opened. Pizza is decent.. not amazing, but not bad either. Pinball machines were fun for the kids. Watch closely, as some machines are cheaper to play than others (usually the older ones are cheaper) and just as much fun for a 4 year old.

    The motif inside is a bit weird.. like Elvira paintings and so on (not kidding). Not sure what they're trying to do there.
