Nike Factory Store sets opening date at Pike & Rose

Remember my exclusive report that broke the story of Nike replacing City Sports as the retail anchor at Pike & Rose in North Bethesda? Well, now we know when the opening day will be. The Nike Factory Store will open August 18 at the corner of Old Georgetown Road and Grand Park Avenue, right across from Del Frisco's Grille.

They've also got some Coming Soon signage up in the windows, including the iconic swish logo.

I'll shop for a new pair of Air Jordans, and then head across the street for Cheesesteak Eggrolls.

After the Egg rolls (two words not, not one) I'll be waiting in the garage with Poppy to mug your sorry ass.

Probably won't have much luck finding brand new Air Jordans considering this is a factory store and now a Niketown store.

Still, Virginia is at 13th best and Maryland is wa-a-y down at 30th.
It's also tied for 7th with NJ for worst infrastructure, and 6th in highest ratio of unhappy workers

How do Nike Stores and other manufacture branded stores fare here and around? Seems they would have deep pockets to make a go of it, but isn't their clientele pretty similar to the old City Sports?
