ShohpHouse Southeast Asian Kitchen to close this Friday (Photos)
We knew ShopHouse Southeast Asian Kitchen would be closing, but now we know when. Both the downtown Bethesda and Pike & Rose locations of the Chipotle spinoff will close permanently this Friday, March 17.
12:13: It is in no way plagiarism - look at my Twitter feed --> I received a tip from a reader about the Pike & Rose ShopHouse closing many days before the small and slightly failing magazine published a report taken from National Restaurant News. Secondly, a sign is posted at every ShopHouse now to confirm the closure date. One is pictured above. There is no way that is plagiarism.
I never took a course, yet I follow the ethics rules of journalism, unlike the folks at the "professional" magazine.
Maybe we can replace Shophouse with some of the low income housing Westbard residents are fighting so hard against.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to stop by and have a bowl before they close this week!
ReplyDeleteGreat concept, sad to see them go! Thanks for the heads up.
Will Dyer offer one last favorable review in exchange for a free meal?
ReplyDelete7:25 AM Kind of like giving an "Editor's Choice" in exchange for advertising $?
ReplyDeleteRegardless, Dyer already reviewed ShopHouse long ago...in fact he broke the news that they were coming. And now he's covering the final chapter.
Ha. Robert's no Andrew Metcalf...then again Andrew is writing for an actual news media organization, vice a BLOG.
ReplyDelete7:51: They're not an actual news organization, because an actual news organization doesn't steal content without attribution. Journalism 101.
DeleteDyer @ 11:09 AM - how can it be "stealing" if they reported it three and a half days before you did?
DeleteSeems more likely that you are the thieving plagiarist.
And you never took "Journalism 101", or any other course in Journalism.

Any word on who will replace them?
ReplyDelete"ShohpHouse"
ReplyDeleteGet an editor, #Birdbrain.
Come on...give the guy a break. I'm assuming this is a hobby blog?
DeleteTarget is opening on April 9!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat news for Bethesda!
Can't wait for target! Woooo!
ReplyDeleteBethesda needs her own national anthem for times like this, when we need to celebrate!
ReplyDeleteHip hip hooray, Betty!
Also very sorry to see them go. Very good fast food.
ReplyDelete"I never took a course"
ReplyDeleteBut I stayed in a Holiday Express last night-
Why can't we have good things?
