Expect expanded hours now that they no longer have to share a kitchen with TapaBar. It's unknown yet if the new schedule will include late night hours. 202 Donuts & Coffee will remain on Fairmont Avenue. All 3 highly-rated restaurants are owned by brothers Alonso and Alvaro Roche.
Late night would kill it with TJ's upstairs, but it also means they have to deal with drunk people.

ReplyDeleteThey're probably paying an option while they negotiate or pause negotiations to resume later. I'm guessing in that $1M-$2M range. It's a fairly standard thing to do, as neither side is obligated to buy/sell.
ReplyDeleteRobert Dyer seems to be running a protection racket in my opinion - you'll get great coverage if you provide food, drinks and smiles. But if you somehow DO NOT include him in your opening he will denigrate the establishment and refuse coverage of it.

Pretty stupid, but according to you, they doubled down on stupid by inviting the County Council. Hope they had extra folks on hand to help them find the doorknob to get out of the store when it was over. Reminds me, I just witnessed Helpless Hans' affordable housing plan get ripped up and thrown in the trash by his colleagues the other day at the Council Building. Hey Birdbrain! I know the event sold out, because when I tried to add two other people as guests, it I was told "sorry the event is sold out". But instead of getting made like petulant child, I realized it was my own fault for waiting so long to invite more people. I'm sorry you're not one of the cool kids.
