Vinci opens at Westfield Montgomery Mall, Haagen-Dazs to return (Photos)

Vinci Leather has opened at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda. The shoe and boot retailer is in the spot vacated by Sheepskin and Alpaca Too on Level 2. Downstairs, Haagen-Dazs continues to misfire in the public messaging department. First they abruptly closed and put up a blank wall, looking as if they'd left the mall for good. Then they didn't even leave a note or sign saying the closure was temporary. A week later, they've put up an advertising screen that makes it sound like they will be a new addition, when they are simply renovating their existing space.

Another tenant with Coming Soon signage is sneaker collector emporium Kicks USA.

10% turnover in tenants in just four months, and less than half of them have been replaced. And Sears lease is up in February 2018.

How do you know that Sears' lease is up in 2018 when they just sold their store to Westfield last month?

Bethesda Row has multiple vacancies also (not even counting B&N yet).

Great opportunity to bring some great retail to both!

As i commented before about Haagen-Dazs, the mall requires you to put up these expensive graphics, and you are unable to just post signs. I am sure these are just standard graphics that Haagen-Dazs usees for these mall barricades.
