One of the amenities at Duball, LLC's soon-to-deliver Cheval Bethesda ultra-luxury condo tower is Arts Alley, a 2000 SF arts incubator that will be managed by the Bethesda Urban Partnership. The width between the former gas station property and the Woodmont Corner public parking garage was increased by 5 feet, as part of the Cheval construction.

Decorative lighting lines the alleyway, and large windows give the artists' studios extra visibility. Their work is expected to be displayed, and the public can use this alley to access the parking garage from Old Georgetown Road. Cheval Bethesda is located at 4990 Fairmont Avenue, and its first residents are tentatively expected to move in next month.

ReplyDeleteEminent domain proposal withdrawn. No updated from the SNN?
ReplyDelete"It would have sped up the acquisition of small areas of land around bus stops to make them ADA-compliant."
ReplyDeleteLOL
Also got scooped BIGLY regarding Westwoodbard.
ReplyDeleteEven Robin F*cker doesn't come here anymore.
11:03am posting about a meeting notice over a week later than Dyer is a "scoop"?
DeleteBetter late than never, but not a scoop.
I'm hearing bad things about the Cheval - I'd suggest through diligence.
ReplyDeleteCool little addition
ReplyDelete11:03: I reported that last week, dumbass.
ReplyDeleteWhat is an "arts incubator"? I know in the business field, the term means to incubate new companies and then they grow and get their own office space as they expand.
ReplyDeleteSo what will this be doing?
How long until one of those LED banks goes: "fweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-pop" and then the entire strand goes dark? I say 6 months.
ReplyDeleteQuestion for #DodgingDyer:
ReplyDeleteWhy are comments not enabled for the post titled “Tower Cos.' Brian Abramson joins Bethesda's Sandy Spring Builders”?
