A most strange situation was encountered on Woodmont Avenue last evening. Parked alongside the site of the future Marriott International headquarters was a police tactical vehicle. The vehicle did not display the name of any law enforcement agency or department, with only the word "Police" as any indication of its purpose. Complete with front-end battering ram, the imposing vehicle had Utah-registered tags. The Marriotts are among the most famous Mormons in the world, making this quite a coincidence...or not?
How often do "secret police" roll up in a huge armored van marked POLICE?
ReplyDeleteA more plausible theory might consider the fact that police week activities began May 1.
Maybe it has to do with today's test:

I would like to hear more about the Mormon Secret Police conspiracy theory on this blog.
ReplyDeleteI saw a bunch of Chinese eating at the local Chinese restaurant. Even stranger, they were speaking Chinese and eating with CHOP STICKS. Maybe they were sent to Bethesda to spy on us?
ReplyDelete9:03 AM yes, you're right. If you only read the Magazine, you'll never know about anything that happens in Bethesda after the Magazine's office closes at 4:30pm.
ReplyDelete9:44 AM Hope you're either on the payroll or get reimbursed for your time posting your daily praise for your Magazine.
ReplyDelete9:47AM using their worn-out "Slander is the only way some have of feeling close to accomplishment" retort.
ReplyDeleteplease tell me this is just troll bait.
ReplyDeleteanonymous man is unpacking his long list of grievances with Robert.
ReplyDeleteBetter get a Snickers, because we'll be here awhile.
"Grievances"
ReplyDelete"Woodmont" this time, "Boyce Bowles" , "Andy Van Slyke", "Tim", "Rugby" other times.
Everyone sees this anonymous man breaking down before us. The grievances against Robert are evident to many readers!
Delete2:32 PM You've spent an enormous amount of your time posting your grievances here. You're failing. Get help. ASAP.
ReplyDeleteI wish you'd stop deleting the crazyman's comments, they're always gone by the time I get here. I feel like I'm missing great material.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they're trying to put an end to the "UNPRECEDENTED VANDALISM SPREE ON THE KENWOOD SIGN"!
ReplyDeleteAnd, we're just a short distance from their MASS PRISON COMPLEX up by the Beltway, where they probably park their BIG FLEET OF SECRET POLICE VEHICLES underground. Then they decorate the whole place with Christmas lights around Christmas to camaflouge it. VERY MYSTERIOUS!
ReplyDeleteSo, if it had New York plates, would we raise conspiracy theories about the Jewish Secret Police possibility?... Or, maybe the Trump Family Secret Police? Alabama, Southern Baptists? Texas, Southern Methodists? New England, WASPs? Could God be behind this?
ReplyDeleteOf course Bill Marriot was born and raised in the DC area and Marriot's Headquarters are located here to...so, I'm not sure why they'd be implicated by a Utah license plate. Just saying.
ReplyDelete11:47: Actually, the Marriotts originally came from Utah, which is what made this coincidence so interesting. And, again, why does the vehicle have no identifying agency? It's almost like a movie prop.
ReplyDelete11:41: Uh, no. But an anonymous Utah police tactical vehicle parked next to a Marriott site - yes, that's a notable coincidence.
Bill was born in DC. From what I remember, his dad, J Willard was originally from Utah, but left as a teen eventually settling in DC in his 20s.
ReplyDeleteBill studied at Univ of Utah, but never called Utah home. He was all about the DC area.
