Faryab restaurant available for lease

The building currently occupied by Faryab, a popular and well-reviewed Afghan restaurant in Bethesda's Woodmont Triangle, has been put on the market for lease. Faryab is still fully open for business at last check, and there is no public indication that it is closing yet.

But an online listing is at least testing the market for potential alternative tenants. The storefront is located in a prime spot at 4917 Cordell Avenue.

Meanwhile you missed two real closures in Wildwood.

Good places close and crappy places don't. Such is the wacky world of Bethesda.

These articles would be so much better if you'd just call and ask if the places are closing or moving. Then you could have actual news.

7:08am what restaurants say officially isn't always truthful, so why bother?

Pizza Pass, Bethesda BBQ, Chef Geoff's and a bunch of others all closed but claimed they weren't closing.

Better to report verifiable info like a lease listing.

I know most local legacy bloggers and self proclaimed reporters don't understand skepticism yet. They will learn.

8:01 AM is everyone's favorite Keyboard Cowboy.

Dyer is the only site that didn't report falsely that Sears was closing a year ago. (Yes, I know there was some obscure filing bloggers found online. They had to retract and apologize.)

Dyer is the only site that correctly reported that Sears closed Sunday and had the emotional sign off from employees.

And Dyer kept us up to date on the new development replacing Sears.

Tastee was selling if Woodmont Grill would. A Marriott spox confirmed Dyer's reporting at a public community meeting.

Dyer tries to cover his tracks by using weird abbreviations and incomplete sentences when he's posting Not-So-Anonymously, but he outs himself by doing that way too consistently.
