"Also good to see some new handicapped parking spaces right up against the new addition for Flower Child. Such spaces get further and further away from business those with disabilities are trying to reach at some of the newer developments in Montgomery County."
ReplyDeleteIs this a lame attempt to divert attention from the disastrous changes to the parking lot there lately?
Also, wouldn't your presence here after business hours be considered trespassing?
ReplyDeleteBobby Goes on a Walkabout And Calls It News.
ReplyDelete5:57: I thought they said they are adding 42 new parking spaces?
ReplyDelete5:58: The many businesses open in the center when these pictures were taken would laugh, and then take great offense, at your idea that I and their other customers are forbidden to enter the property after the sun goes down.
Think about what you are typing before you hit the button next time. Sometimes cheap shots indeed ricochet back and hit the perpetrator, as in this case. Embarrassing!
6:07: It is news, and it was just reported.
ReplyDeleteThe parking layout already was a mess in this place. The addition of more stores will just make it worse.
ReplyDeleteRemember when Robert Dyer claimed that BWI wasn't a "real" international airport because it couldn't accommodate A380s?

FRIT is concerned about the two "leaving soon" - Oakvile Grill and Wildwood Kitchen (Gepetto's) - gone within a week
ReplyDelete7:36 AM SPOT ON!
ReplyDelete9:00 AM Oakville Grill/GEpetto's have been trying to sell for a long time. No surprise there.
ReplyDeleteNo movie theatre such as Regal is in this center. The County should demand one go in. These places are destined to fail without one.
ReplyDelete1:05 PM A strip mall without a theater isn't unusual.
ReplyDeleteA downtown without a multi-plex is.
Chopped liver, I am.
ReplyDeleteLast I looked Bethesda has a multiplex right in the heart of all the action - Landmark.
ReplyDeleteSeems like people going to Landmark would have more discretionary income to spend on local restaurants and shops after seeing "non-blockbusters" there. Fewer tickets for kids, and less popcorn and candy.
ReplyDeleteLandmark doesn't show the mainstream blockbusters - we've established that fact long ago.
ReplyDeleteWhy do "blockbusters" matter at all, in terms of whether cinema patrons will patronize local restaurants and shops? Wouldn't someone coming for an "arthouse" film be more likely to splurge at places like Jaleo?
ReplyDeleteLet's put it this way- if you're taking your family to a movie this weekend, there's no family fare at Landmark Bethesda. You'll have to go elsewhere to see Lego Movie 2.
ReplyDeleteBethesda is pretty family oriented.
