Boardroom Salon for Men coming to Montrose Crossing

Men in the White Flint area will soon have another barbershop and grooming option. Boardroom Salon for Men will be opening a location at Montrose Crossing shopping center. The upscale barbershop has spread to 40 locations in 5 states since it began in Texas. At Montrose Crossing, it will fill the last vacant space in the property's newest Rockville Pike-facing structure between Slapfish and the AT&T Store.
In addition to haircuts and other salon services, you'll find complimentary beverages, chessboards, pool tables, televisions, dark wood paneling and plush leather chairs designed to create an upscale environment. Optional membership programs will give you unlimited haircuts at a discount rate over the life of the term you choose.
“Boardroom is a recognized leader and innovator in quality men’s grooming, with a mission to help men ‘relax, look great, and feel confident’ –they will fill a real niche for Rockville’s dense business and residential communities with their unique take on experiential service, adding to the convenience of Montrose Crossing as a shopping destination,” Federal Realty Director of Asset Management Kari Glinski said Monday.

  1. Did every article about this salon copy the same incorrect press release? The vacant space is between Slapfish and Five Guys, not AT&T. I guess technically speaking the vacant spot is between Slapfish and AT&T, but since there are three other storefronts in between them that's a bit misleading.

$700 membership? Don't they know the MoCo Cartel ate all the rich people, or something?

  3. I think the rich people want to fly out of here but can't conveniently get to an airport

Anyone else visit the block? Place is a ghost town at all hours. Always a bad sign when you see the staff on laptops doing yield calculations :(

7:49 AM it opened quietly and is tucked in a corner of pike & rose. But if it's good, word will spread quickly.

@8:05, I hope so! Food was reasonable and the people were nice. I just don't know how so many restaurants can compete like that in such close proximity.

Dyer's troll is taking notice of the wonderful Sam Eig, the site of record for the up county area.

9:18am Looking forward to Royal Farms fried chicken, but you're posting in the wrong blog about that. (See Sam Eig for Gaithersburg and the surrounding towns.)

Bethesda residents aren't being blessed with new gas stations that have super QSR convenience stores that serve sandwiches and chicken. Maybe that is best for our collective waistlines!

  11. There was a similar concept in Rockville Town Center a few years back, and it didn't last. My assumption is that the cost of membership was too pricey for the area. This could be the downfall of the Boardroom as well. I would think this would be an establishment more suitable for The Collection.

10:54 AM Welcome to 2020. The latest iPhone is fine for photos and 4K video.

The days of one blurry black and white photo per story (the Gazette and Post era) is long gone.

  14. 11:58 AM I just scanned the latest posts- no "blurry" photos. Great shots of Avocet Tower, under construction in our rapidly changing city!

Please post a photo of yourself. On second thought, please don't. We both know there's a good reason you don't have photos of yourself.

    Have good day, sir.

Dyer's troll will eventually figure out that attacking someone won't help their own business or life. Quite the opposite actually.

I've seen men driven mad trying to tear Dyer down over the years. It's not worth it. Dyer is still here and reporting every day.

8:48 PM At least Robert hasn't resorted to copying & pasting county restaurant inspections as "news". I thought that was the realm of bottom dwelling Patch, but I see other sites are scraping those now as well. (filling daily "article" quota) Even spreading false rumors in the community about particular restaurants.

I'm posting here because the writer of the blog attacked me personally.
Look at you! Barely 2 minutes pass before you attempt to shame me.
    What's your excuse?

  26. 7:56 AM - "it's not worth it going after Robert" - What are you trying to say here? This is a guy who's been attacking me for years for simply disagreeing with him or wanting back-up for the loony statements he makes.

You get the fact that I'm just some local normal gal speaking her mind, right? I could be any female in your life. Imagine your daughter, mother, or wife being subjected to this all because she disagreed with Robert Dyer.

Just because years ago I ONCE disagreed with Dyer's numbers and asked why he had called me a disgusting hobo for disagreeing. I had been a shill. Now, I stand up for myself.

If praying for me makes you feel better, then go for it. I simply put one foot in front of the other and carry on. 4/

Why? Dyer hasn't figured it out yet.

"I've seen men driven mad trying to tear Dyer down over the years. It's not worth it. Dyer is still here and reporting every day."
Really? Who? Name them. You're assuming the person is angry and envious (projecting?) when instead they may be laughing the whole time.
