Women's fashion and lifestyle brand Johnny Was will open its first Maryland location at Bethesda Row later this month. The new store will take over the recently-vacated Lilly Pulitzer space at 4867 Bethesda Avenue. That space will be redecorated for Johnny Was with floor to ceiling nature-inspired murals by artist Chris Lord, Italian tile floors, marble tables, oak fixtures with bronze hardware, and a mix of custom and antique furniture.
Johnny Was will carry velvet bomber jackets, sequins slip dresses, winter puffers, light linens, dusters, kimonos, relaxed-fit pants, blouses, silk pajamas, contrasting swimwear, and a collection of jewelry. Beyond apparel, expect to find Italian leather handcrafted bags and homewares, including serving plates, mixing bowls, jewelry boxes, and more. Johnny Was’ fragrance, Talia, will also be available in eau de parfum, oil, and candles.
“It’s an exciting time at Bethesda Row,” Federal Realty Senior Vice-President of Leasing Stuart Biel said Monday. “2020 will see the addition of new restaurants including Hawkers and The Riggsby, as well as first-to-market shops, including Serena & Lily and Heyday. And, now we can share that the year will kick-off with the addition of Johnny Was, in its first ever Maryland location.”
Six months.
ReplyDelete$250 shirts? Don't they know the MoCo Cartel ate all the rich people, or something?
ReplyDeleteI’m surprised that Johnny Was doesn’t read this blog, and would have known that the rich have fled MoCo and Bethesda in particular.
ReplyDeleteNice to see a unique new retailer on Bethesda Lane.
They're adding a couple new stores in Hawaii and one in Connecticut too.
ReplyDeleteHmm...Connecticut is a fun word to type...gotta love those little reasons to smile.
@7:52 AM - Uh...not sure you understand how quotations work. Did you miss that day in English class or are you just attempting to be a troll?
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos by the way. Good job
