Amazon Books closes at Bethesda Row (Photos)

Amazon Books
has permanently closed at Bethesda Row. The closure was expected, after Amazon announced it was closing all Amazon Books and Amazon 4-Star locations nationwide. Amazon 4-Star recently closed at Montgomery Mall. The Amazon Books closure opens up a prime corner space for a new tenant at Bethesda Row.

Really bad form on Amazon's part to do this. They really hurt B&N by their arrival and just as soon as they came, they bolted. I'm also not happy about the easy Amazon.com return drop-off. Stinks because the store was pretty nice and sold decent books, gifts, echo devices, etc.

...except B&N announced its closure almost a year and a half BEFORE Amazon even opened. Weird lie or really poor memory, guy.

This was only a convenient return depot. Awful store with poor selection. Bethesda needs a great bookstore again.
