CVS Pharmacy is working quickly to complete its new downtown Bethesda store at 7235 Wisconsin Avenue. Signage was installed on the facade of the former Riggs Bank building yesterday, although it has a little "coming soon" stripe over the word "Pharmacy," as we've seen at their new Kentlands construction site this year. Inside, there is now shelving, customer baskets, navigational signage, a barcode-reading electronic kiosk, and even some merchandise boxes. Still staying in place for now, are the ornate chandeliers left over from the bank.

Signage installed at new Bethesda CVS Pharmacy + interior update (Photos)

I don't see them taking the chandeliers down at this point, especially if the shelving has already been installed. They look classy!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen drug stores this nice since Duane Reade in New York.
ReplyDeleteGood spot for them. Hopefully the historic-ish nature of the building means CVS won't be putting up those awful full-window stickers they normally use to completely deaden the street view of their space.
ReplyDeleteNot to mention that elegant plaster ceiling! Any bets if they open those perforated roller shades?
ReplyDeleteWalked by this place yesterday and peeked in. Looks like they're making substantial progress on the inside.
