La Catrina postpones opening in Bethesda
La Catrina Bar & Lounge announced it has postponed its opening that was scheduled for this Friday, November 18, 2022. The Mexican restaurant at 4935 Cordell Avenue said the situation leading to the postponement was "completely out of our hands." A new opening date will be announced soon, they added.
This is no surprise considering the owners have no prior restaurant experience.
ReplyDeleteOne of the owners has another establishment, Casa Oaxaca
Delete@9:43 classic knee-jerk, no-research-done response. You're already on the internet, why not take two seconds to fact check yourself? Sad.
ReplyDelete9:43 - Ready, Fire, Aim!
ReplyDeleteWho exactly? From another site's article about La Catrina, the owner operates a construction business:
ReplyDelete"Reyes has lived for 22 years in Prince George’s County, where he also started a small construction business, Reyes Drywall Services Inc., in 2006. He has three children and his wife, Lisveliz Liz Nunez, 33, co-owns the bar and lounge."
No information that either owner has prior restaurant experience.
The owner of Casa Oaxaca is Raquel Zavala according to a news article from 2019 about their opening.
So.. which owner owns both establishments? I see no overlap or connection between the two.
