Montgomery County police are investigating the theft of a vehicle in the Woodmont Triangle area of downtown Bethesda Sunday morning. The vehicle was parked along the street in the 4900 block of Cordell Avenue when it was taken. Police were called at 11:49 AM Sunday.
Of course it was.

"Montgomery County Police Department’s auto theft unit was disbanded earlier this year because of FY 2021 budget cuts."
Congrats Elrich Voters. You got exactly what you voted for.
Another unpunished crime, what can we expect in the future? We are sitting ducks.
DeleteThe PC term is "Borrowed Indefinitely"
ReplyDelete@9:23, Thanks for the information -- what a joke! Baffling ... The article you cited also states at the very end, "Montgomery County police did not return a request for comment by the publication of this story."
ReplyDelete@9:24 You got it!
I've always enjoyed hearing the Dimbulb rationale "they must have needed it more than I."
ReplyDeleteThe car was probably unlocked.
ReplyDelete@10:50 AM: She shouldn't have been wearing that short skirt either, right?
ReplyDeleteThis is real life, you need to take precautions.
DeleteExactly 4:56, and we gotta realize the criminal opportunists are constantly among us, just waiting to strike. What do we need to do to keep from inviting them? How can we discern the good from the bad?
DeleteLeftist DC Council member Mendelssohn testifying before congress yesterday said: "there is no crime problem".
ReplyDeleteOur partisan congressional representative Raskin added that the GOP should leave DC to self-govern. He also still believes the Russia hoax and that they created the disinformation on Hunter’s laptop that his attorneys are suing the repair person for releasing data from said laptop "that may or may not belong to Hunter".
Pretty obvious that democrats have no intention of supporting police or any legislation that will deal any consequences for illegal behavior, (unless it benefits them politically).
Buckle up for more crime as MD & DC politicians have zero interest in protecting anyone but themselves
😂
DeleteOnly in the last few years have DC and MC been comparable: for you doubters just walk from Friendship Heights DC up to Bethesda. All along Rodeo East and on the other side "Medical Row" there's litter, leaves, panhandle, even occasional tents. The graffiti and litter along Wisconsin then really pick up again in Bethesda proper.
DeleteWe're just a few steps behind DC when it comes to crime, as well.
Raskin has learned from Biden that pathological lies will not be checked. The Senate was bipartisan in its vote to take control of DC.
ReplyDeleteRobert, was the stolen car a KIA or Hyundai (both of which have compromised ignitions that make them extremely theft vulnerable)?

No one leaves a political comment on these sites but the RWNJs of the area. Pathetic, and the same goes for the moderator for not enforcing any fair controls.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I learned something--- right wing nut jobs!
DeleteWell, of course the LWNJs don't have much to complain about, they're succeeding at ruining most everything.
Perhaps all the fearful residents should own a car made by their idol, a Tesla. https://youtu.be/sjH0LU05HnI
ReplyDeleteCry me a river 9:02. Bet you think its fair to hold political prisoners for over 2-years without a trial. Funny how liberals get so out of sorts when they hear an opinion they disagree with. You already own most of the media moderated by the modern-day brown shirts.
ReplyDeleteStart by taking responsibility for letting repeat offenders out with little or no bail. Until that time learn to respect the opinions of others.
@9:02 AM: Calling people RWNJs is a political comment. Congratulations, you played yourself.
ReplyDelete9:02 AM: You wish you could control it yourself to make it "fair" by your standards don't you? C'mon, you can admit it to the rest of us.
ReplyDeleteWoe to the libwoke when the pendulum swings the other way.
ReplyDeleteI dunno moderating misinformation would probably be a good start
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, 2:53 is willing to decide what can be posted and what can't. Like the word racism, liberals throw the word misinformation around so much that it just doesn't have the same meaning.
ReplyDeleteOne of these days you may actually read the 1st Amendment, before the ACLU became completely partisan, as it was not written only to protect speech you agree with but specifically to protect speech you disagree with.
Republican white men arrested… suddenly they are concerned about pre-trial detention.
ReplyDelete10:17 is the perfect example of racism today. MLK would weep at the stupidity of leftists today. Not only that but since their media didn't tell them, some J6 defendants are black.
